The diverse expertise and international representation showcased during the event reflected the association’s global commitment to upholding AI ethics standards through collaboration and knowledge-sharing. This initial meeting has set the stage for impactful projects and cross-border partnerships.
Reflecting on 2024, we made significant strides as an organization. We incorporated AIEI in Portugal and Switzerland, launched our corporate website, hosted our inaugural event in Lisbon, and welcomed our initial members. Our growing community of advisors and partners actively contributed to shaping the association’s direction and priorities through their insights and expertise.
Looking ahead to 2025, AIEI is committed to building on this foundation. Our strategic plans include the formation of key committees to focus on specialized areas of ethical AI governance, the draft of AI Ethics Principles, and the launch of a dedicated members portal to foster deeper collaboration. Additionally, we will introduce an international AI journal to further the discourse on responsible AI development and innovation.
Major milestones for the upcoming year also include hosting our first in-person conference and presenting the AI Ethics Award 2025, celebrating advancements and commitments in the field. These efforts will culminate in an annual report showcasing collective progress and highlighting the positive impact made in the realm of responsible AI development.
“As AI reshapes our world, ensuring ethical principles guide its evolution is not just an option—it’s a responsibility.”
Thank you to everyone who contributed their ideas and energy. We invite you to stay connected, share your insights, and help us advance our mission of ethical AI worldwide. Follow us for updates and join our journey toward a transparent, trustworthy AI future!
