The AI Ethics and Integrity International Association (hereinafter referred to as the “AIEI“) is an international non-profit organization established to promote the development, adoption, and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) on a global scale. AIEI brings together leading experts, professionals, academics, and interested companies to develop common approaches to the use of technology based on ethical principles and respect for human rights.
AIEI develops and implements ethical standards to ensure the responsible use of AI, supporting social responsibility and the development of technology with human values in mind. Our association is for the exchange of experience and knowledge between experts, promoting cooperation and community support.
The Association actively cooperates with international institutions, associations, clubs and communities in various industries, as well as government agencies to ensure transparency in the regulation and implementation of AI. In order to attract new members and spread the importance of this topic, AIEI plans to hold conferences and seminars that promote knowledge sharing, raising awareness of the ethical use of AI. The activities of the most responsible and active members of the community will be recognised with appropriate awards.
1. General provisions
1.1 These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between the user (hereinafter referred to as the “User”) and the Association of Artificial Intelligence and Ethics (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”), which is represented as a non-profit international organization. The Terms regulate the User’s access to and use of the official website of the Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) and all services provided through it.
1.2. By using the Website, the User confirms that he/she has read these Terms, understands them and agrees to comply with them. In case of disagreement with any of the clauses, the User must immediately stop using the Website.
1.3. The Association reserves the right to change, amend or update these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be published on the Website with the date of the last update reflecting the moment when the changes came into force. The User undertakes to periodically review these Terms to be aware of changes. Further use of the Website after the changes have been made means that the User agrees to the new terms and conditions.
1.4. The Association grants the User the right to personal, non-commercial use of the Website, while reserving all rights to change, temporarily or permanently suspend the operation of the Website without prior notice. The Association shall not be liable to the User or third parties for any changes in the operation of the Website.
1.5. The User agrees to use the Website in accordance with the current international legislation and rules of conduct on the Internet, avoiding any actions that may adversely affect the activities of the Association or other users of the Website. Any unauthorized use or attempts to interfere with the operation of the Website are prohibited.
1.6. The User agrees not to use methods that may violate the confidentiality, data security or other technological measures introduced by the Association to protect the Website and User information.
1.7. The Association strives to provide uninterrupted access to the Website, but does not guarantee that the services will always be available or that their operation will not be subject to interruptions or errors. The Association has the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, restrict or change access to the Website at any time.
1.8. These Terms are drawn up in English. In the event of translation into other languages, the English text shall prevail, unless otherwise stated.
1.9. All notices, changes or announcements regarding these Terms will be published on the Website and, if possible, sent to users via e-mail, if available in the Association’s database.
2. Mission and goals of the Association
2.1. The main mission of the Association for Artificial Intelligence and Ethics is to create a safe future for the use of AI.
2.2. This goal will be achieved strategically through the following areas (the list is not exhaustive):
2.2.1. Community: The Association creates a platform for uniting professionals in the field of artificial intelligence and ethics. Through the Association’s activities, members will be able to:
- Stand out among professionals: Get the opportunity to stand out among AI and technology professionals through the support of the Association, participation in projects and events.
- Attract partners and clients through our events: Attract new partners and clients by participating in specialized events organized by the Association, which help to establish new contacts and develop cooperation.
- Network with organizations and experts: Establish connections with organizations and experts working in the field of AI, ethics, and technology, creating conditions for mutual exchange of experience and support.
2.2.2. Impact: The Association aims to create a positive impact on the development of AI technologies and their ethical use. This is achieved through:
- Declare commitment to ethical innovation: Establishing and publicly declaring a commitment to ethical innovation principles that builds trust in the Association’s members and promotes the development of responsible technologies.
- Shape standards and AI ethics principles: Shaping standards and ethical principles in the field of AI, which determines the direction of the industry and helps to avoid ethical conflicts and problems.
- Represent AI to government bodies: Representing the position of the Association and its members to governmental bodies, promoting the creation of a legislative framework that supports the ethical use of AI and protects the interests of society.
2.2.3. Recognition: The Association provides opportunities to gain international recognition and enhance the status of its members. This includes:
- Get Your Association Member Badge: Receiving the Association’s member badge, which confirms membership in a community that supports ethical standards and the development of AI.
- Receive AIEI International Award: The opportunity to receive the AIEI International Award for achievements in the field of AI, which increases the prestige of members and their recognition.
- Join the Global Recognition List: Joining the global list of recognized professionals and organizations that actively promote the ethical development of AI technologies.
2.2.4. Knowledge: The Association supports the dissemination of knowledge and educational initiatives aimed at developing the competencies of its members. This includes:
- Publish in an International Journal: Opportunities to publish in international journals, allowing members to share their experiences, research and analytical articles.
- Access Events with Leading Experts: Access to events with leading experts in the field of AI and ethics, enabling knowledge sharing, discussion of the latest developments and current issues.
- Share Insights with Thousands of Members: Exchange knowledge and ideas with thousands of EBA members, helping to build a strong network of professionals and develop joint projects.
2.3. The Association will also work to create unions of various business areas, introduce ethical standards for the use of AI, unite industry professionals, promote the development of innovative technologies and ensure their compliance with generally accepted ethical standards. The Association strives to create conditions in which AI technologies can develop responsibly, taking into account human rights, privacy, and social welfare.
2.4. Some of the specific points that will be emphasized during the association’s activities include the following:
- Dialogue and active participation of business: The Association focuses its efforts on engaging businesses to actively participate in the development of ethical principles, creating platforms for sharing experience and best practices, and developing partnerships to ensure responsibility and transparency in the implementation of AI.
- Developing ethical standards: AIEI is working to create comprehensive ethical principles that define the rules and norms for the use of AI worldwide. These standards are developed based on an analysis of best practices, existing research, and expert input.
- Supporting the community of professionals: The association provides a space for the exchange of knowledge, experience and ideas among community members. It organizes events, meetings, seminars, and conferences to stimulate cooperation and interaction between members.
- Influencing policy and legislation: AIEI collaborates with government agencies and international institutions to promote policies that support the ethical use of AI. The association participates in consultations, offers recommendations, and provides support in the development of legislation.
- Education and awareness programs: AIEI develops and conducts educational initiatives, courses, and trainings to raise awareness of the responsible use of AI and its impact on society.
- Publications and research: The Association publishes research, articles and analytical materials in international publications to raise awareness and support the development of ethical standards in the field of AI.
- Recognizing achievements: AIEI recognizes the achievements of its members through awards, honors, and inclusion in international rankings that highlight contributions to the development of the ethical use of AI.
- Protection of members’ interests: The Association advocates for the protection of its members’ interests by providing representation before international institutions and in matters related to the protection of rights and interests in the field of AI.
2.5. The main strategic initiatives of the Association include:
- Developing recommendations: AIEI formulates guidelines for corporations, academic institutions, and governments to implement ethical standards for the use of AI.
- Supporting research and innovation: The Association stimulates the development of research in the field of AI ethics, promoting the formation of new approaches to solving the challenges faced by society due to the introduction of AI.
- Creating a global platform for collaboration: AIEI provides an international forum for discussing AI challenges and opportunities where experts and stakeholders can share ideas and influence the direction of the industry.
2.6. AIEI is committed to acting transparently, making its initiatives, research and standards available to a wide audience, and actively communicating its projects and programs.
3. Use of site materials
3.1. All materials posted on the website of the AI Ethics and Integrity International Association, including but not limited to texts, images, logos, videos, graphics and other elements (hereinafter referred to as the “Content”), are the property of the Association or its licensors and are protected by copyright laws and other international legal acts. Use of the Content without the prior written consent of the Association is prohibited.
3.2. Users are allowed to view, download and print materials from the Website solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. The use of any materials for commercial purposes, including modification, copying, distribution or any other use without the appropriate permission of the Association is strictly prohibited.
3.3 Users are allowed to create links to any public Content of the site, provided that the following conditions are met: (i) the link must be fair and not misleading, not to imply any form of association, endorsement or support by the Association, if any; (ii) the link must not be used in a context that may damage the reputation of the Association or contradict its mission and goals.
3.4. Users are prohibited from:
- Use the Content in any way that violates the copyright, intellectual property rights or other rights of the Association or third parties.
- Modify, translate, reverse engineer or attempt to alter the Content in any way.
- Use the Content for unlawful or harmful purposes, including the distribution of viruses or other harmful programs.
- Use automated means, including bots or scripts, to access, collect or use the Website Content.
3.5. The Website may contain materials obtained from third parties that remain the property of the respective copyright holders. The use of such materials is governed by the terms and conditions established by the copyright holders.
3.6. The Association reserves the right to remove or change any Content at any time without prior notice. The Association also has the right to restrict access to some or all parts of the site if it deems it necessary.
3.7. If the User violates any of the provisions of this section, the Association reserves the right to immediately terminate the User’s access to the site and demand the removal of any illegally used materials.
3.8. The Association is not responsible for the materials and information provided by third parties, including comments and other user contributions. All third parties are solely responsible for their own content.
4. Funding and support of activities
4.1 The Association of Artificial Intelligence and Ethics is supported by:
- membership fees paid by its members (hereinafter referred to as “Dues”)
- financial support and donations from supporters of the mission and activities of the Association
- partnership support with resources and other
- activities and events of the Association to support its activities
- other activities not prohibited by the current legislation
4.2. Membership
4.2.1. The Association may introduce different levels of membership with corresponding types of contributions that provide different privileges and access to certain services and materials. Information on the available types of membership shall be published on the Association’s website https://ai-ei.org/ in the section of membership fees and relevant sections of the website.
4.2.2. The procedure for payment of contributions:
- Fees shall be paid electronically through the payment systems supported by the Website or to the details of the Association’s accounts. Details of payment and available payment methods are provided in the relevant sections of the Website or in letters to the relevant potential member.
- As a rule, the fee is annual and covers membership in the association during the calendar year, unless other conditions are stated on the association’s website.
- In case of changes in the cost of membership fees, the cost of the current paid period will not change for such a member.
- Payment of the fee and acquisition of membership is confirmed by an email from the Association with relevant information, which may include, among other things: a welcome package from the Association, a specific membership number, membership certificates, etc.
4.4. Rules on contributions:
- Contributions are non-refundable, except as expressly provided by the relevant provisions of the Association or applicable law.
- Membership and its privileges come into force upon confirmation of payment of the fee.
4.2.4. The Association reserves the right to change the amount of membership fees or introduce new types of membership upon prior notice on the Website. Changes shall take effect upon publication, unless otherwise specified. For current members, these changes shall take effect upon the termination of their current membership.
4.2.5.. The Association may provide preferential terms of payment of fees for certain categories of persons, for example, young professionals, certain countries of researchers or representatives of non-profit organizations or partners. These conditions are determined in accordance with the agreed terms with such institutions and/or published on the Association’s website.
4.2.6. The Association has the right to suspend the User’s membership in case of violation of these Terms or other rules of the Association. In such cases, the fees shall not be refunded. The User may suspend its membership at its own request, but in this case the Contributions are also non-refundable.
4.3 The Association will notify each participant of the type of membership acquired by the latter. By default, the member is granted the right of an associate member, which provides for participation in the activities and events of the association. This membership does not provide for participation in the management of the association or its bodies. Additionally, the association will establish institutional committees, advisors and other advisory bodies to assist in the strategic issues of its activities.
4.4. The Association undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of Users’ payment data and use it solely for the purpose of processing contributions. More detailed provisions on the processing of personal data and confidentiality are provided in the Privacy Notice.
5. Limitation of liability
5.1. AIEI strives to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information posted on the Website. However, the Association does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or relevance of any content, and the User uses the Website at his/her own risk.
5.2. The Association shall not be liable for any damage, loss or harm (direct or indirect) that may arise from the use or inability to use the Website, including, but not limited to, loss of data, revenue, profits or reputation.
5.3. All information, materials and services on the Website are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement of intellectual property rights.
5.4. The Association shall not be liable for technical malfunctions, interruptions in the operation of the Website or failures in access to services that may be caused by technical problems beyond the control of the Association , in particular, due to force majeure or actions of third parties. The Association reserves the right to carry out technical work that may lead to a temporary suspension of the Website.
5.5. The site may contain links to third-party resources. The Association does not control the content of such resources and is not responsible for any information, services or materials that may be available on such sites. The user goes to third-party sites at their own risk.
5.6. The User undertakes to use the Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and applicable law. In case of violation of any clause of the Terms by the User, the Association shall not be liable for the possible consequences of such violations. The User is fully responsible for any actions related to the use of the Website and any consequences of such actions.
5.7. The User agrees to defend and indemnify the Association, its members, employees and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from the use of the Website, violation of these Terms or any other actions related to the use of the Website.
5.8. The content posted on the Website is not legal, financial or professional advice and should not be considered as such. The Association is not responsible for any actions taken by the User on the basis of information received from the Website.
5.9. In some jurisdictions, limitations of liability may be invalid or of limited application. In such cases, the Association ‘s liability will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. External links
6.1. The AI Ethics and Integrity International Association website may contain links to other websites, resources, or services owned or operated by third parties (collectively, “Third Party sites”). These links are provided solely for the convenience of users and to provide additional information.
6.2. The Association does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy policies or practices of Third Party sites. By following the links to Third Party sites, the User does so at his/her own risk. The presence of links to Third-Party Websites does not imply endorsement or confirmation of their content by the Association.
6.3. The Association does not guarantee the security and confidentiality of information that may be provided by the User on Third Party sites. It is recommended that you read the privacy notice and terms of use of each Third Party Website before providing any information or using their services. AIEI is not responsible for any consequences that may arise as a result of interaction with Third Party sites.
6.4. Users should exercise caution when interacting with Third Party sites, especially if they transmit personal data or other confidential information. The Association recommends using trusted and reliable sources for interaction, in particular those that comply with ethical and legal standards.
6.5. The Association reserves the right to add, change or remove links to Third Party sites without prior notice. It is not obliged to regularly check the content or availability of such sites.
6.6. The User agrees not to make any claims against the Association in connection with any losses or damages that may arise as a result of the use of links to Third Party sites or their content.
6.7. Third parties may create links to the Association Website if it does not contradict its mission and goals. However, the Association reserves the right to request the removal of any links that it considers unacceptable or in violation of its interests.
7. Rights and responsibilities of users
7.1. User rights:
- The User has the right to access public materials posted on the Association Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- The User may use the Website to browse, read and study, as well as to participate in events and initiatives organized by the Association, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
- The User has the right to submit proposals and recommendations regarding the activities of the Association, initiatives, programs and other aspects of its work. The Association undertakes to consider such proposals within its capabilities and within the mission and goals of the organization.

- The User has the right to contact the Association with questions and requests regarding the activities of the Association, use of the Website or participation in events. The Association undertakes to respond to such requests within a reasonable time.
- The user has the right to propose new topics for discussion, initiate the creation of educational programs or projects that meet the mission and goals of the Association, and participate in relevant consultations and discussions.
7.2. Responsibilities of users:
- The User undertakes to use the Website in accordance with applicable international and local laws, as well as in accordance with these Terms.
- The User undertakes not to use the Website for illegal purposes, in particular, but not limited to: distribution of materials that infringe copyrights, distribution of malicious software, collection of data of other users without their consent.
- The User shall avoid any actions that may damage the reputation of the Association or violate the rights of other Users.
7.3. The user undertakes to respect the principles of ethics and interaction with other users of the Website. It is forbidden to post offensive, defamatory or hateful content. Violation of ethical standards may lead to restriction of access to the Website and its resources or suspension of membership.
7.4. The User undertakes to ensure the confidentiality of his/her credentials (if any) and not to disclose his/her login and password to third parties. The Association shall not be liable for any actions taken under the User’s account in case of violation of this requirement. In case of suspected unauthorized access, the User shall immediately notify the Association of this fact.
7.5. The user is prohibited from disseminating information about internal activities, plans, strategies and other resources of the Association that are confidential without the prior consent of the Association. Distribution of such information without the permission of the Association may lead to legal consequences and restriction of access to services.
7.6. The User agrees not to use the Website Content for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the Association. The User undertakes not to modify, distort or use the Content in a way that may damage the reputation of the Association or other third parties.
7.7. The Association reserves the right to review and change the rights and obligations of Users in these Terms. Such changes shall take effect upon their publication on the Website.
7.8. While everyone may file the membership application through the AIEI website, The Association reserves the right to refuse to admit a person or organization to membership if its goals, activities/reputation/found information do not comply with the mission, principles, values, and interests of the Association. This decision can be made based on internal criteria and review of the membership application, and the Association is not obliged to provide a detailed explanation of the reasons for refusal.
7.9. The Association may decide to suspend membership or postpone members onboarding in certain business categories (consultants, experts, specific businesses, etc.) if it is necessary or helpful to maintain a balance between participants from different areas or activities. This decision can be made based on internal criteria and review of the membership application, and the Association is not obliged to provide a detailed explanation of the reasons for refusal.
8. Privacy notice
8.1. The AI Ethics and Integrity International Association is committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of personal data of Users collected through the Website. All data is processed in accordance with applicable international data protection standards and regulations. Read more in our Privacy Notice.
9. Legal information
9.1. The AI Ethics and Integrity International Association is an international non-profit organization that operates in accordance with the principles of ethical development and use of artificial intelligence technologies. The Association strives to provide a safe and responsible environment for AI development by supporting the principles of ethics, transparency, and human rights.
9.2. The Association operates internationally, providing an opportunity for members from any country in the world to join. The Terms of Use are not limited to a particular jurisdiction unless otherwise specified.
9.3. The Association operates as a non-profit organization. All revenues, including membership fees and donations, are used solely to support the activities of the Association and to achieve its mission and goals. Any surplus income arising from the activities of the Association is not distributed among members or founders, but is directed to the further development of the Association’s initiatives.
9.4. These Terms do not create any partnership, agency or other type of commercial partnership between the User and the Association. The Association reserves the right to refuse any legal obligations, except those expressly provided for in these Terms.
9.5. All events, decisions and activities of the Association shall be carried out in accordance with applicable international law and the laws of the countries in which it operates. The Association may adapt its practices to meet local legal requirements depending on the territory where it operates.
9.6. The Association reserves all rights to its own brand, logos and other intellectual property used in connection with its activities. Unauthorized use of the Association ‘s intellectual property, including its symbols, name, content and other materials, without prior written consent is prohibited.
9.7. In the event of any disputes or claims related to the use of the Website or the activities of the Association, the parties undertake to resolve them through negotiations first. If this is not possible, the dispute may be referred to the appropriate international arbitration body agreed upon by the parties. The Association reserves the right to choose the mechanism and jurisdiction for dispute resolution if the parties have not reached an agreement.
9.8. The Association shall not be liable for failure to fulfill or delay in fulfilling its obligations if this is caused by circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to: natural disasters, technical failures, wars, strikes, laws or government regulations.
10. Changes in the conditions of use
10.1. The AI Ethics and Integrity International Association reserves the right to change, amend, or remove any provisions of these Terms at any time and without prior notice. Users are obliged to review these Terms regularly to be aware of changes.
10.2. All changes come into force from the moment they are published on the Website. Use of the Website after the changes have been made means the User’s automatic consent to the new Terms. If the User does not agree to the changes, he/she must stop using the Website and the services of the Association.
10.3. The Association may, but is not obliged to, notify Users of significant changes to the Terms and Conditions via e-mail or other available means of communication. It is recommended to set up a subscription to updates or notifications from the Website to receive important news.
10.4. The current version of the Terms is always available on the official website of the Association. The date of the last update is displayed at the top of the Terms page. All previous versions of the Terms shall cease to be valid after the publication of the updated version, unless otherwise specified separately.
10.5. The User is advised to carefully read any changes to the Terms. Changes may include clarification of the User’s rights and obligations, new sections or policies regarding the use of the Website and interaction with the Association.
10.6. In case of any questions or need for clarification of changes, requesting documents or other reasons, the User may contact the Association using the contact information provided on the Website.
10.7. If the User does not agree to the updated Terms, his/her right to use the Website shall automatically terminate. The Association reserves the right to restrict or block access to the Website for users who do not comply with the new Terms.
10.8. The Association may maintain an archive of previous versions of the Terms for legal and informational purposes. Access to such archives is possible at the request of the User within the limits provided by law.
